You are wrong about the bill. This does not allow for "racial profiling" or grabbing people out of their homes or cars. It does allow for the police to ask you simply if you are a citizen and may I see your I.D. I see nothing wrong with this at all and I think you protest too much. We were asked for I.D's at the CA/AZ border by the border agent and we thought nothing of providing them. This is a security measure nothing less nothing more.
I am sadly confident that most of those that rage against this bill as racisim would think nothing of a government deeming all rednecks from AK be considered terrorist/suspects and subject to a background check by the FBI or homeland security. Or worse, having our returning military men and women be watched as our homeland security chief suggested.
