Just spent two days in Bloomington. We have visited several times in the past. It's a great town. In fact, we were visiting the library once again, and I was once again blown away by the children's dept. We have visited many libraries in many towns and cities, and Bloomington, by far has the best children's section. It's huge and they have saved all the old books from our childhood, not to mention every new book that is out there. Oh, and no homeless people. I have seen a few here and there, but it's nothing. This is coming from someone who lives in NYC! NYC is also know for it's ethnic restaurants. Bloomington's variety, especially on 4th Street is outstanding for a town it's size. We have had some great meals there. As for different kinds of people, you will find all kinds there. A punk rock type can probably find their niche. It's a cool, cool town. If only there were jobs for us. Hopefully we can find a way to make it work for us. Love it.

Indiana University's school of library and information science is a top 5 program in the nation ... it's not surprising that every library in town and on campus is top notch. You can bet money that every librarian in the public library has their master's from IU.
