Don't know how many of you watch the news but 16 Park and "affordable" housing development is now renting the first of its units at well 16th and Park St. 85 units are designated section 8 and was wondering what everyone thought about that.

To be blunt, it pisses me off. I may be a democrat and in favor of most social welfare programs, but this makes me sick. Why should someone in section 8 be able to afford an apartment nicer than many teachers?

As a Republican i agree with you.
Government picking and choosing who gets the checks and doesn't
Why don't we just stop the mentality of having the government provide everything and people be self-sufficient
Then this picking and choosing game would stop.
