Do you plan on attending the Super Bowl or any of the 2 week festivites?
If so is there anything particular that interest you?
I wish i would go but probably my parents will say *To Big of a Crowd*
The Super Bowl Village would be my choice.

I'm going to try to be downtown for the event. I will even bet money that the Superbowl will make downtown streets busier than Chicago's Michigan Avenue for a day.

They sure did!
Also something to share here: Indy's XLVI tax take relatively good

I'll give credit where it is due, that's a good way to spin a million dollar loss for the city.

How much would it cost to get the major networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) plus ESPN, and numerous other media outlets to cover the Circle City for a week?

Hell, one Super Bowl ad costs over 2,000,000 for 30 seconds.

Indy got 1 week of advertisement and exposure for 1,000,000.

Seems like a bargain to me.

Or think of it this way:

Everyone in the metro had to pay less than $1 to bring the Super Bowl to Indy.

I would have pitched in $10.

I would be lying if I said I cared.

The Super Bowl was great, and I enjoyed it. I would trade all of it for an effective mass transit system.

You would trade the Superbowl in Indianapolis for a dollar???

I would trade a dollar for a comprehensive transit system in Indianapolis.

But you know what? The Super Bowl only cost the tax payers a dollar. Comprehensive mass transit costs at least a dollar A DAY from it's residents.
