I'm here, I'm here! Sorry for the delay!

I live and work in Avon, and I love it out here. There are some nice areas in the Camby area (although... many of them are priced great right now because they are nearly impossible to sell!) There are some nice areas right off of Southport Rd. and 37 that are very nice....

Feel free to give me a call, I would love to help you find a house!

I can show you homes in any area, listed by any company.

From Avon, according to Google maps, you're looking at half an hour. Greenwood is about the same on Google maps.

It also depends on what side of Avon or Greenwood you find a house in.

^^gotcha. But, the problem is we are still in Louisiana and have not got my transfer date. All they told me was "within a month". But we'd like to get the ball rolling and get pre approved so we can look at homes in our price range, and see if we need to do a VA loan or get a cosigner. We are first time homebuyers. Any suggestions?

I lived in Indy for 40 years. I know right where you are going to work.
I would have to say your best bet is in Avon. Greenwood is a bit of a drive. Avon is around 10 miles.
You could also look into Brownsburg. All good neighborhoods. Airport has caused some growth in the area.

Avon is pretty nice, - check out the area around Meridian around 80th - 116th streets - one of the perks of Indy is that you get alot of bang for your buck in housing. Good luck!
