About 80% of my investing is done short term, I have been selling some of my long term investments as they run out of gas. Only have about 10% invested now so I am ready to buy when the time comes.
That's a contradictory statement.....or maybe i'm reading it wrong....
Example:
The stock I wanted to buy was trading at 20. By the time I logged in it was trading at 22. I bought anyway. That's 10% of gains I lost in just one minute.

One thing that irks me when I hear: "I am out of the market"
How does one do that with 401k's, IRA's, etc. If you aren't in the market, you are in bond funds at the very least. There is no way to be completely out unless you are in stable value or put it under the mattress. We are all connected now as an international economy.

Just jacked up my contributions to my 401k to take advantage of these low prices. So hopefully it takes at least a few weeks to rebound.
We aren't at the bottom yet, the bottom is going to be around 10,000 (DOW).
