Dow zoomed passed 25K and is now at 25,400. Next stop 26K!

Will we hit 30K this year?

26k not just yet, the DIA options for Jun expirations have it at a ceiling, so I think well be under 26k until at least summer (as of today). The ST treasuries are also only pricing in a 35% increase in the rates from the FED for December. So I think as of now, we're pricing in a 26k ceiling.

I disagree, there is likely to be so much money put into buy backs because of the tax bill that there is almost no way for the market to crash later this year.

The market has lost all touch with reality. How much higher can it go? Maybe a bit.
My thoughts are how low can it go?

my thoughts too . to much optimism built in now . i am always in , although i am at the lower end of my target range as of last week . but i think if the party ends at midnight we are past 11pm now .

all the biggest drops happen when we see blue skies a head and markets can go up and up as new highs are broken over and over .

all the biggest gains come when we are plunging to stock market hell in a hand basket and it looks like there just is no bottom .

I thought the top was in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016. Once Trump won it was a game changer and the markets ran wild in 2017. Who knows what 2018 is going to bring, certainly not me, and I've got a mix of high risk stuff and very conservative stuff. Maybe I'm giving up some upside gains, maybe not. We'll see what happens. I will say this: the market looks expensive.

it does not look as expensive to me as it does over leveraged .leverage is insane "the machines " that bring us the flash crashes will be dumping big time at these levels when something triggers them .
