The end is better than the beginning--
It was down over 300 points around noon--
Coming from behind is not something it has done with any strength since October
So the Bulls ran over the Bears today..
This says was down 400 pts--guess I didn't see that... https://www.nbcnews.com/business/mar...cord-1-n952386
Falling off a little going into the close--
Now about 160 pts up...but closed @ 23,138.+
So up 230+ pts...

Wanted to use part of that contribution in my grandson's 529 Dec 26 when I thought it would bounce hard...but husband wants to wait
Thinks something will happen to take it down again---before too long...
Government shutdown is just starting to pinch but won't really be felt probably until after Jan begins...
That is big day for Fed
when things fall hard people get paralyzed and don't act fearing it is going lower . they wait and wait and eventually miss things . you know the drill , everyone has a plan , until they get punched in the face
I sold 99.8% of my IRAs 2 months ago. As of now, that is the ONLY investment that is NOT going down and just sits in money market account. I left 2 small stocks as gauge to see how it keeps falling down.
Thing is, this was all predicted about a year ago by Russian economists I listen to. Basically, collapse of Bretton Wood system, with according repercussions into any market.
No one knows what the market will do in the future on any given day. Literally no one. Today was another example of that. Looked around 1pm and then looked after closing, got a nice chuckle out of it.
