Anyone relocating to jacksonville or becoming a new hire over there? Would hope to meet a few people from these boards. Cheers!

Hi - I've been interviewing with DB (3 thus far) and are still waiting on word as some of the Mgrs are on summer vaca.

Are you moving down to Jax from NY or did u just get a job with DB?

I would imagine it is going to be a mix with management coming from existing personnel being relocated, which will be nice since this means more people with good salaries moving to the area, as well as more jobs created for those that are already here.

I had applied for a job but most of what they have is middle office. The recruiter from NY had called me to do talk about my resume and proceeded to tell me how a lot of people who were applying in FL didn't have college degrees It sounded like she was having a hard time... Anyhoo, she said she would forward my resume on to the HR person in FL and that was the last I heard of that.
Anyways, I want to do Alternative Investments but am ok with where I am now. Can't hurt to try!

What type of role did you interview for?

I've seen reports on what their average salary will be but haven't been able to find anything regarding their benefits. Anyone know anything on that?

Yes they have IT positions posted out there as well. Most are development related if that helps your friend at all. Good luck.

The information is pretty public so no concerns there. They have their IT positions posted on Monster and company site of www.db.com. As far as a headhunter, I have heard rumors on who they are using so I will send that name to you privately so I don't contribute too much to spinning the wheel.

You are correct about the types of positions. In this case development = java. They have a few other positions as well that aren't development related.

I'm more into finance, that's why I'm interested to know what people have found out about their finance related positions before I go through the motions of showing interest formally.
