Frankly, you shouldn't be cancelling any interviews unless you have a written offer on the table - regardless of how you don't "prefer" the neighborhood. How well a interview goes is all subjective. You might think it went well, but the interviewer might have a difference of a opinion.
what i'm saying is if I was to get a job offer from a closer job, then it would be no need for me to still go.
STT Resident, I've had the same feeling for some time. But I decided to take a different approach. Like it or not, there are a lot of unemployed folks who are reading TV&SG's soap opera. Whether he's a troll or not, there has been a lot, and I mean A LOT, of wisdom from other members in response to the whoa is me posts. So, if one of those posts helps or gives guidance to someone who really needs it and wants the help, then I think that's a positive. So, whether or not the OP absorbs some of the wisdom is beside the point to me. It's those who can really gain a nugget of information that I, mostly, try to post for. And you, my friend, are a huge positive with your posts.
With that said, if TV&SG is truly in the situation that he describes, I wish him the best. But I'm through with him when he asks what color belt he should wear with his white dress socks.

I agree completely. Although TVGuy's posts have been nothing but utter waste, many of the posts by C-D members contain great advice and many from personal experience, which is invaluable. I continue to post my opinions/advice along with sarcasm to TVGuy in the hopes that someone here can find the info useful.
