Hi,
My name is Rachel and I'm a college student in Washington State. I'm doing a project for math class that is difficult because I can't find the information that I need. The assignment is to imagine that we are a family of 4 living in Kansas City. We are renting a 1,750 sq' home. We own a sedan and make $80,000. We have managed to save $10,000. We need to find a compatable spot to move to another city in Missouri. My e-mail is azulwolf07@yahoo.com. Even if you can't tell me where to move could you e-mail me with the cost of living in Kansas City with a family of four and how much it is to rent with the description above. If you know how much food expenses are and tabs for the car describtion above that would help also. Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Rachel

My husband and I live in Liberty, MO, right outside of KCMO. We each drive 4 door sedans. We have comp + collision + relatively high coverage limits. His car is ~ $550/year to insure; my car (which is newer) is about ~ $650/year to insure.

Just write, "Screw renting, I'm throwing my money away".

You can afford a nice house in a nice neighborhood on 80,000 a year around KC. Also, on 80,000 a year you can live in pretty much any suburb of KC.

Liberty people can be kind of snobbish for some reason. I don't get it. It's really not that nice. Certainly not for the attitudes. Check it out for yourself.

You know ALL the people in Liberty? If the attitude is great schools, kids first, community service, church family, and safe living, I suppose that would make some people uncomfortable.....
