That would be nice, but the shorter version is cheaper.

The new KC Hyatt rendering reminds me of the Baltimore Hilton convention hotel (also subsidized by city). Pretty bland, about 800 rooms, L shaped, 20-25 floors wrapped around large ballroom space, but gets the job done. Hopefully it won't lose money like the Baltimore hotel has though.
That looks practically like the proposal in KC. Funny. At least if ours loses money, the city isn't paying for it.

The Cordish four light is rumored to be a mixed use building with both a residential and hotel (potentially a W). It will be interesting to see how that turns out.

The Hyatt is a very boring design, but with that location, it will still stand out as a very large structure at least.

I'm very excited for the redevelopment of Troost and Amour. 300 brand new units and commercial shopping. That area has had potential for the longest time all the way past Paseo to Highway 71. Developers have been investing there for some time and I think KC's urban population will change the layout.

That Hampton Inn looks great. Nice infill project. Main is really starting to mature into an urban corridor in the crossroads.

The rivermarket office project is interesting, but KC seems to have serious problems getting new urban office space constructed, most renderings for new office construction never materialize going back 15 years or so. Sadly, office space in KC is all about the suburbs.

I hope it happens though.
