Might want to read up on your history a bit.

none of these socialist/marxist/anti faith ideologues give a damn about fly over country. screw it. I say we let these elitists have New England and the left coast and seceed from the union. they'd be bankrupt, riddled with crime, and living under totalitarian rule similar to Russia in a year.

Don't worry about that, my library has over a thousand books, several hundred of them history and scores on Lincoln and the War of the Rebellion.

So aside from your superficial little quip explain.

I have a better idea; we give Texas back to the Mexicans and Comanches.

But have you read any of them?

Lincoln was in Politics as early as 1837, he had over 20 year in politics before he ran for President, Obama is a freshman senator with very limited knowledge of a far more complicated world. I'm not going to side rail this thread, but to compare Lincoln to Obama is just foolish. Lincoln stands alone.

Davart, where the heck ye hearin all this Kentucky bashin?? Truth is that exit polls at primaries demonstrated 57% of voters not wantin Obama voted that way because of crazy *religion* of Obama crackpot preacher. Basically 57% (or better) of us caint understand how he could sit in church 20 yrs with crazy preacher bent on damning the USA to hell. Gotta tell them "race baiters" at California and New York that religion trumps race here in the commonwealth where one's reputation is built on the company they keep.

Obama had been around politics for over 20 years on and off. Lincoln spent much of his time away from politics and practicing law. Prior to his presidency Lincoln never attained as high an office as Obama. You assert Obama has limited understanding but they may just be that you don't agree with his politics----when I don't hold with someone's politics I figure they have limited understanding, otherwise they'd agree with me.

Lincoln stands alone, no doubt. But not because he was more experienced than Obama. There have been plenty of politicians with lots of experience that were bad leaders and those with little experience that were good ones. You wanna rap Obama go ahead but this experience thing isn't much, Hell, It's about the weakest reason for not voting for him. Other than that he's Black.

Much of what Wright said made sense. It just wasn't politically correct.

And he gets angry, Hell, why shouldn't he?

Come over to the Connecticut forum for a visit----we have disagreements there as well.

I kind of am perplexed by someone saying however that folks on the west coast and New England care little about 'flyover' country. I have a friend in south eastern KY who is highly educated, been to Europe far more then me- and is anything but intolerant, dumb or a hick. I know of some people here in CT that are just that.

Additionally Marxists in the end are no better then fascists....
