Patrons will visit CityMac for the high-tech Apple products, accessories, service and coffee but return because of the relationship, business owner Jim Neu said this week.

CityMac, Neu's Apple-authorized store -- and a companion café known as CityMug – are expected to open June 8 in the former J.C. Penney location downtown.

Well it's not a true Apple store but honestly other than lacking iPhone products it sounds pretty nice. I do like the coffee shop as part of it as well though that's nice! Apparently they offer financing as well which is pretty nice for a reseller. I'd still like to see a real Apple store locate in Johnson City or Kingsport though.

Must not be happening anytime soon, Dan. An authorized retailer is opening in the JC Mall soon, too. Can't remember its name, but it was advertising on Craigslist for workers.

Mac Authority Coming To Johnson City Mall - News Story - WCYB Tri Cities

You are right, it's called Mac Authority. What's crazy is that Bristol, VA shelled out $500,000+ in incentives for City Mac and Johnson City shelled out $0 for Mac Authority.
