Default High Schools in Johnson City, TN??

My 15 yo is in the 9th grade, Science Hill HS has a separate 8/9 grade section and 10-12 HS campus. How is this school?

Also I was told that there is a HS on ETSU campus, is this correct? Is there another HS in Johnson City?

My wife will go tomorrow and look for a place to enroll him and get him going to school again, he's had about a week off with the move from WA state.

Tony

AFAIK those are the only two city high schools. Then there are Daniel Boone and David Crockett High in the county (someone correct me if I'm wrong there). Out of the four, I'd recommend Science Hill. It has a better rep and more offerings (like arts and AP classes)

I graduated from University School on the ETSU Campus in 1972. ETSU ran the school as a training facility for student teachers. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think University School is operated by Washington Country today.

Here is a link for more information on Johnson City Schools

JCS Schools

Here is a link providing some information on Washington County Schhols

Washington County School District Schools, Tennessee - TN: charter and public schools.

Hope this helps,

Buzz

Thanks all,

Wife went to the University school, but they don't take transfers, they were taking applications for the next year.

Wife enrolled son at Science Hill HS, he starts tomorrow.

That's another thing down on her list of things to do.

Good luck to all on the move.

Tony
