Fallfanatic, so far this morning it is performing just like you would expect a 6 yr.old, over-used, cracked screen laptop to work!

I reset all of my administrator settings this morning, took Hik's advice and shut everything down (rather than Stand By), said a prayer, and just turned it back on. So far, I can find my cursor. Some wishes do come true!

Hiknapster's should be coming true right about now!

Sounds like it is time for a look around ebay. I got a GREAT deal on a perfect laptop. There are several good techs that buy up one year old lease laptops and reset then sell them. I have been very happy with mine and it makes them actually affordable.

Call me slow-witted,MB, but I missed that the first time 'round. Now, the tea is coming out my nose!!! SMG and I will ruin the new batteries with all of this tea!!!

Fallfanatic, that was very sweet of you. Thank you for the congrats, but today has to be Hik's day to shine. What a superstar she is!!! I cannot wait until she is back home here to fill us in. I could not hold on to her dad for anything. He is a tough, strong-willed Daddy who was determined to be with his little girl!! Hik can handle it!
