Wow! What a rant. I am not sure what sparked you to make such a statement. I have been here for 12 years and I will say that there is good and bad no matter where you go. But all in all, there is not a better place to live that I have found...and I have been around the block. Just curious, where is the perfect place to live, where all people are carring and curtious. Here is a true story: I washed my car off Kingston Pike last evening. I have a magnetic Garmin GPS that I attach to the hood of my jeep. I took it off (stupidly) and put it on the tire of my jeep such that it was out of the way when I scrubbed my car. I discovered this morning that I had left it on the tire. After kicking myself for forgetting it, something told me to go back to the car wash and look for it. Somebody found it (keep in mind that this is a $110 GPS that says GARMIN on it...somebody would know that it had value) and put it ontop of the mat clips, for the lost owner to find. Me. That is class and thoughtfulness. Who ever left that for me is a true selfless individual. I don't know that I would have had the same curtesy exteneded anywhere else. I hope so. But I did find it in Tennessee. It goes to show you, that sometimes, its how you look at things and what sade of glasses you choose to wear.

But you are a Tennessean now.
I believe he was just using MA as a reference to states that have high taxes and a more Dem state. Nothing personal.

I like Knoxville, and have been trying to find a job here to relocate for quite a while. From my visits, Knoxville seems just fine, is it REALLY that bad? My only concern is the job market, as I am obviously not local, and that's working against me. But other than that KNoxville to me, seems great, at least during my visits it has

hiknapster I'm sorry if I offended! As mbmouse stated, I was simply using Mass as a reference to the more taxed and liberal states in New England. I appologize! And no, it's nothing personal. I've never been to Mass, I'm sure it's a great place to visit.

zreh10: Thank you. I really appreciate the kind words. Working with the public, sometimes I come home in a bad mood and words hurt more than usual.
