Only in my mind.

By the way, those thrill rides on top of the Stratosphere are the absolute scariest in the nation. If those rides were located in a regular amusement park, they'd be exciting enough. But over 1000 feet in the air?

My brother and husband have done the Big Shot. My husband loved it, my brother said, "never again". He wanted to go on the swings but they closed them due to high winds when he got up there. Then he thought he would do the roller coaster one that hangs over the side, watched it for a while and opted for the Big Shot.

The elevator guy said he has gone on all of them and that the Xscream is the scariest. None of them appeal to me, but the view up there is awesome! I will stick with that!

I jumped it months months ago. Damn, that was something! Like everybody else, I'd love to do it again.

Jumping off the strat was pretty fun, and very relaxed. The cable doesn't let you fall very fast, I think it is perhaps 40MPH. The best part is basically standing out on the edge of the platform. The jump itself goes by very quickly. If you don't mind blowing the $100 or so it costs, go for it.

I'm into rock climbing so my suggestion will be very biased. If you are active and healthy, consider hiring one of the local guide companies to take you out on a rock climb. Ask to climb "The Cat in the Hat" or "Birdland". Both are easy climbs, roughly 500 feet, and a beginner can climb them. Its a fun way to spend the day. I'd guess the cost for a guide for the day is around $200. This would be a more memorable experience.

Yeah, I knew the coaster was gone, my husband had gone on that years ago, said it was really nothing. I meant the one that hangs over the edge. Xscream?
