Las Vegas Casinos Bailout!!!
I cannot believe people are so blind. I keep read the bloggers and other website and these people think the federal governement are going to help the casinos. You guys need to get a real life if you even think of the government even helping remotely the casinos. Casinos are consider not important at all to the USA economy and seen as a liability and federal government could care less if they all go bankrupt. For people who think the Casinos are going to be helped out, you guys are really pretty uneducated. I just cannot believe people even bringing up a ridolous thought.

I especially couldnt believe someone making a thread to discuss how absurd of a thought a casino bailout would be.
Ridiculous indeed.

And of course virtually all the casinos are profitable. Profits are down. But still positive. A few may be losing money but even those are profitable on the operating side.
It is cut back and hold down cost time. It is not bail out time.

I got bad news for you. Gaming stocks are almost 90% down and many companies are on verge of bankruptcy. Herbst, The Sands, all are verge, who city of Primm, and etc. If profits where so good as you say, then the gaming stocks whould have not taken a big hit like they are and almost all of them are on the verge of bankruptcy.

The problem is not "profitability", per se, but too much debt. It's a big nut to make. Gaming/hotel/leisure are still very profitable and still have outstanding margins compared to other businesses. But these companies are now more or less, or at least in part, real estate/development companies. And in that regard they are still doing better than many of their peers in that sector. Casinos aren't the only businesses to get over leveraged and get caught with their pants down.

Las Vegas Casinos Bailout
The Casino Industry is in fear of potential bankruptcy -- that means many banks will not be paid on billions of dollars of loans and tens of thousands of employees will be out of work. This is very serious, entire communities (and one State) are totally dependent on this Industry for economic survival. After the Federal Govt gave AIG billions of dollars (three times) to help fund a party, another "off-site" gathering, and executive bonuses -- it does seem appropriate that the same govt NOT ignove this Industry and all that depend upon it's continued sucess.
