If you want to hear what a conversion sounds like spoken by someone who learned English the textbook way, call tech support for your electronics or your credit card companies customer service number.

or talk to "FRANC for EXPEDIA DOT COM" wo want to change a reservtions for a hotel guest arriving the next day[I had talked to him an hour earlier and told him to call Expedia to do the change.....] Franc told me that guest was stuck in a snowstorm at Dulles international but would be in the next day.....

Funniest damn thing....guets told ME his transmission repair in Bakersfield was going to take a day longer....I told Franc this and he said...."Oh yes Bakersfield is very close to Dulles."

It was that day that i began[when they asked my name] telling them "This is Rajnish Koothrapali" and they NEVER asked how to spell it.

An evolving language isn't a bad thing. It's one of the reasons English is more widely spoken than, say, French. And besides, it drives me batty reading old books that spell Congress with a "long s," which looks like f.
That is pretty much the only thing that we all can do.

The one that makes my skin crawl is "prolly" instead of "probably". Can't stand it and I have to bite my fingers not to correct it every time.

The card guys. The time share people. They just don't really bother me. Maybe I just tune them out. I do hate the garbage and I think they should be responsible for that. I think they are bad in a few areas. The time share people, I just tell them I live there or I am leaving that day. The Border Patrol thing is pretty funny, though. C'mon, MacGeek!!! Do it!
