you can forget about the lottery, you know casinos will NEVER let that happen.

even though taxes for a lottery would really benefit the struggling school system the state has.

Yes, those evil plants that the devil obviously planted here on earth must be banished!

Good for Nevada for not buying into the pot head/moron "legalze" jargon and holding their stance!

Pardon the prejudice here, but I have a "pot head" in my family and it is very, very frustrating.

-He has no motivation, does the absolute bare minimum to get by
-Lazy
-Paranoid
-Thinks he is a "victim" and everyone is "out to get" him
-Neglectful of his child during his visitation time
-Is p*ssing away a very good job that he was lucky to have in the first place
-Sneaks home at lunch with another pot head from work to get high together
-Comes back to work high
-Makes more money than many people in our family but is always "broke" ? (gee...let's figure that out)

If he were fired any day now, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest...

Pot is NOT a harmless drug to me.

Consequently, I see nothing good in it and when it comes down to it, in my eyes, it is a DRUG/NARCOTIC and I wish the penalties for using it were much harsher!

Are you sure it's not just a generational thing? You just described alot of 20 somethings I know that don't smoke weed. I call them the "Entitled" generation.

Lazy stoners are simply lazy people who also happen to get high. There are also many, many people who also use the drug but bear absolutely no resemblance to "Jeff Spiccoli." Rick Steves is a good example. He's written 50 travel books, has a TV show, is a millionaire, and also occasionally gets high.

I am against prohibition because prohibition doesn't work. It didn't work for alcohol. It isn't working for drugs. It NEVER works. Why keep fighting a losing battle? Let the stoners get high and tax the hell out of it. At least that way we don't have overcrowded prisons, nor do we dedicate so much of our police resources to a task that is utterly impossible.

So what's your take on alcohol? Think that should be illegal too?

I am not a pot smoker (I've never smoked anything, ever), but many many of my friends are. Some of them are "pot head" stoner types like you describe, but more than that are suit wearing, six figure earning types that just like to smoke weed at the end of the day.

I'm not really in favor or against weed being legalized. I think it's a generational thing and as generational shifts occur, just like gay marriage, it's just a matter of time until marijuana is legalized.

When will Nevada/Las Vegas get legalized marijuana?

When, as predicted, other states follow WA & CO, (there's a Forbe's 400 billionaire member who funds these state's measures), and we stand out like a hypocritical sore thumb!

Lots of pressure! I could even see a potential newspaper headline:

"Las Vegas Tourism way off from last year. The boycott is working! Governor calls for Emergency Session in Carson City!"
