NOT a religious bashing post, please refrain.

Why are there so many religious people in sin city? Seems odd to me that people who are against sinning, would flock to a city that glorifies so many sins. I have been to over 100 houses so far, and I've yet to find ONE without a cross and bible in it. Everyone has been nice and all, but it's just weird to me. If I were religious, this is not where I would go. Is there some sort of draw? I'm aware of the mormon history, just to be clear, but I'm not seeing a lot of Mormon households.

Religion in our country has no boundaries. You can live anywhere in the United States and freely practice your religion. The Las Vegas strip and Downtown do not define the city as a whole.

I didn't say, or even intend to imply that the religious should be bound by certain borders.
My post is an inquiry, seeking to illuminate a puzzle that has mystified me.
Far removed from the strip, which to me, includes downtown, there are halls of gambling, sex and debauchery. What would possess a self proclaimed morally upstanding citizen of any one of many religions that condemns such things, be attracted a city that was built on, and thrives on, such things?

I loathe precipitation, and moisture, I wouldn't willing, despite my ability and freedom to do so, move to Florida, where both of those things abound. It doesn't make sense to do so, now does it? That is my point, and that is at the heart of my query.

EA:

Because Sin City is like catching fish in a barrel.

This is where they have all these 'sinners' gathered in one place so they can convert them!

Hahaha.

Anyways, why do people want to live forever?

For me, I don't want to live forever (via 'heaven'). The universe is just fine before I was born and will be fine as well once I go.

26 years in Vegas and I've never noticed an abundance of religion in households.

Work and weather maybe?

The heat reminds people they may be facing Hell.

If your a SINNER, you must go to church to be forgiven.

So with all the Sinners in Las Vegas you require many, many houses of worship, of all types of religions..

You may have nailed it on the head,

Where did Jesus eat and stay?

With tax collectors, prostitutes, and other assorted sinners.

Christians tend to congregate where they are most needed.

The most welcome person in a church that is doing things right is a sinner, because all true Christians were and are sinners.

If they were not, then they wouldn't need Jesus Christ.

A town that calls itself "Sin City" is thus the natural place for God to do his best work.
