I think the basic membership is $55

I have their AMEX which comes with a membership or maybe is the other way around. Regardless, some decent cash back options, especially on travel of 3%. I use it for all my business travel/expenses and get a nice check at the end of the year.

AMEX agreement was not renewed so I think it's Visa next year with similar benefits I'm sure. I think gas is 3% as well.

My understanding is it will work similar to AMEX, it has to be a Costco branded Visa.

And as I further understand it, AMEX is just cutting people off and canceling all costco cards and closing the accounts in March 2016 (A hit on everyone's credit that has a card) and you must apply for the new Costco Visa (Another hit on anyone's credit that applies for the new card).

Now that is what I call customer service. Well, not really.

that could be 4 fillups..... anyone who isn't taking advantage of this needs their head examined.... savings on gas and food alone trumps it.. and if you travel, the deals are great.

Sam's Club (Serene and Spencer) has been packed recently also. I got premium yesterday for $2.79, regular was $2.49.

it goes to show what scamming is going on in this city... they all pay very close to the same price for the fuel... costco usually maintains a 14% profit margin.. the others must all be price fixing.

Sometimes you can find a deal on Groupon or Living Social for a Costco or Sam's club membership so that your initial outlay is lower. Plus if you get the upgraded memberships they usually offer some kind of a cash back offer so that it is possible to earn back enough to cover the cost of the membership.

Also if you really don't want to get a Costco membership but you know someone that has one, you could ask them to get you a Costco Cash Card, although only a member can buy or reload the card anyone can use the card both in the warehouse and to buy gas.
