LOL, I almost said over 3000 sf, but backed off.

OP, sorry for the bit of hijack, but I wanted to tell lvmench that somewhere around half of the houses up here are being painted this fall. Maybe more. We talked to the architectural gal and she said he was turning in paper work constantly. We were a bit iffy until we found out the woman next door hired him. Original owner. She is VERY picky, and if he passes her smell test he passes ours. McMillan and McMillan. That man is going to be busy!!

Your worried about the neighborhood your residing in. You should also be concerned about the rider attitudes and assaults going on everyday in the public bus system. Find a safe pocket area in a rough neighborhood to save some cash on rent. Use a pool rideshare for transportation to avoid using RTC unless you really need too. Rent is high right now but you can find bargains if you look enough and flexible with your location.

Las Brisas De Cheyenne Apartments

3985 E Cheyenne Ave

Las Vegas, NV 89115

They want 825.00 for 520 square feet plus 40 per month sewer, water, and trash. Looks like the unit was recently 775.00 but it is now 825.00. Their website still states 775.00. Should I avoid? Is this overpriced for that area? (LV Blvd and Cheyenne)

Expand your search. Saw a 2 bedroom condo around 850 SF for $825 Flamingo and Eastern area two weeks ago. The condo community was clean, safe and gated.

I did see the stabbing case recently that took place on the RTC. Many times there are guards on the buses.
My current monthly transportation costs are only $34.00.

I agree with your assessment in terms of being resourceful and finding safe pockets in rougher zip codes.

One observation that I must share: I have never seen so many people openly consuming alcohol as I have seen around the intersection of LV Blvd. and Lake Mead. They literally sit at the bus stop and pound beer and sometimes I can smell marijuana being smoked. I thought open consumption was only allowed on the strip.

Flamingo and Eastern to 4700 North LV Blvd kind of a long bus ride, but good to know there are options out there that I can afford.

Tell me, since I have never owned, how much is a down payment for a condo or are there rentals? Sorry, I am a newbie in this arena.

Ok, where is LV Mensch? I found a room at 40XX Sweet Surrender Court. Six bedroom house.

This is MLK and Craig. Feedback on that area please. Definitely an upgrade. And please no stalkers showing up there, I am a guy in his late forties.

Reasonable lower middle class area. Little if any crime off the main drag. Short walk to the bus. Sounds fine to me.
