Golf,i was expecting there to be delays, just not LA-esque delays like this am

Surface streets aren't bad congestion wise, its the long red lights that kill me. I'm right on the boundary of 89130 & 89131 (sky pointe and tropical) so im traveling almost as far as you

I'm just extremely impatient behind the wheel I guess

You could always go to the CH library and get an audio book. Learn Spanish. Way to pass the time driving~!

In the words of the great show Kung Fu, "Patience Grasshopper". Things are a lot worse in other cities right now.

you know at the end you just will wonder why you rushed so much.

I am putting my husband in a nursing home for 5 days for what they call respite with hospice. I cried and cried when I told him. He knows what that all means
but I hope it will help me take care of him longer at home
Hoping for strength to carry on
Pray for Bill he is a good man

Oh, skisickie, so sorry. Prayers for you and your husband. And yes, good point...what is the point of rushing?

Perhaps a little redemption or revival to help.

As we sat at breakfast there was a sudden squawk squeek carryon from the family room. The Admiral darted around the corner to see some creature dive into her real estate bag tightly pursued by cat and dog...I trundle along behind to assist as she drives the animals away from the bag.

We peer in to find a small bird, an immature mocking bird I think, huddled in the corner.

I reach in and grab it to the tune of more squawks and squeeks...I remove it to a large bush on the patio and set it on an upper branch where it kind of wedges itself in.

The animals were right on top of it and the cat actually reached to grab it but was wisked away by the Admiral who then confines our creatures inside.

The bird remained in that position until we left the house half an hour later. The bird was still there when we returned two hours later.

We feared for the worst. Damaged beyond repair or perhaps too young to care for itself.

So I entered the porch intending to move the creature to a more secure spot and get it clearly out of the kin of our creatures.

My hand got within three or four inches when boom the bird was gone...winging at Mac 1 over the fence.

Even did a little roll as it cleared.

What in the hell has happened to Las Vegas? Too overbuilt, traffic was horrendous and streets were impossible to navigate. Must be too old .....remember when you could walk down the strip, walk into all the old casinos.......two shows a night with so many stars you had to choose who you wanted to see. This trip....... the only show we could see was Rod Stewart @ 7:30. Damn glad I got to see it in the old days.......what a shame of what that place once was..........

Thanks for relating this experience Olecapt. Reminds me of the escapades we used to have back east before we sold our house - multiple cats and plenty of countryside led to many a rescue
