I really wish and hope they redevelop downtown Henderson. I was out there this week, 2-4am, walking my ferret, hadn't been out there in 2 years. That walk down Water Street from City Hall is absolutely gorgeous, with the twinkling lights of the valley/Strip below you, what an incredible view! I wish they could just take The District and move it over to downtown Henderson and have a real city there. It has so much potential to be a vibrant downtown area of the Las Vegas Valley!

All they need is some housing, during the crash a 15 story condo building was proposed, but never built, but if built, the views from those condo's would be worth millions! They have built a half-dozen 4-story senior apartment buildings, so that's a great help.

I wish downtown Henderson the best, with their redevelopment efforts.

Hey, tljlover, do you work at night and sleep during the day. And then, when you're on your time off from work, do you keep the same sleeping pattern, that of sleeping during the daytime?

I work nites, 10p-6a, and every day of the week, even on my 3 days off Tues.-Thurs., I sleep from 10a-6p, and I've been doing this routine for 12-13 years now! Normal? What's normal?

I've always been a nocturnal creature, and ferrets are nocturnal as well. Perfect match!

Excellent. I ask because I work nights also. I'm on my first day off of four right now. But on my off-time I go back to sleeping at night. Oh well. I actually like working the night shift!

A real curiosity here, as to why I've never seen mopeds/scooter/bikes prying Las Vegas Boulevard! But perhaps not such a curiosity, given the mob-like taxi unions in this town, it may just slow them down!

The answer may lie there! The Taxi Unions!

In general you can bike on the strip...and motor scooter. I believe there is a ban on scooters and skate boards on the sidewalk. In the middle of the 2000s there was a big deal about Segways which basically ended up with them banned. Too bad in a way...my handicap would be handled very well by a Segway... I can't walk very far. I can use or rent one of the electric scooters though they are much more awkward than a Segway.
