Got closer to the camps and those homeless people are bold. They swarmed all the cars at the stop sign with their hands out for money. They come right up to the cars, and grab at the door handles. I told my husband, don't ever take me this way again. Take the freeway.
Give thanks for the homeless! If all these homeless people found employment, and if they all bought cars, with the result of more congested streets/freeways, then your complaints would take on a different color!

Another thanks to the homeless! Jobs are tight enough as it is, and if they were all out there competing for the limited jobs available......................................... ...................

What I enjoyed the most about my 2 trips to India, given I have frequent urination problems, and forever panicking about whether I'll find a restroom in time, is you can urinate anywhere, just join the others, anywhere! Now that's heaven!

I've seen it too many times in my beloved Tijuana: a mother walking her kids down the street, one has to urinate, and? Even during the daytime, with crowded sidewalks, little kids stands at the edge of curb and urinates! Yes, they have restrooms in Tijuana, but you have to pay to use them, some as high as 50 cents, and with the minimum wage at $5 a day in Mexico, you really want to spend 10% of your income that day to urinate?

Being able to urinate outdoors is heaven? Um. No. That's just disgusting, sorry!

These people that are peeing and pooping out on the streets literally have no where else to go. Some of them have mental and/or drug issues and can use some help. That's just the way it is in the low income downtown areas. The only way to avoid seeing this is to never leave the suburbs or pay a little more I taxes to fund the programs that these people need.

You're in a foreign country, you've got to go, can't wait to locate a restroom, you've got to go so badly you could cry your eyes out. Choice: do it in your pants, or outside! Pretty disgusting, walking around with soiled pants!

That's the heavenly part, being in India, where few people utilize restrooms anyway, and you're in pain, and? The pain if finally over!

Or have the taxes we currently pay allocated to these programs instead of being wasted elsewhere..

That works too but a lot of the local social services are severely tapped out. And the local population has already spoken(Henderson). Remember when they voted not to support keeping the library open? Homeless people in that area could have used that bathroom instead of the street corner.

But I agree, there is corruption.

And now for something completely different.. I was looking at a list of the largest buildings in the world.. according to the source at which I was looking, the Palazzo has more floor space than any building in the US.. 35,000 square meters more than the Pentagon.. now you can win that "weirdest trivia question" contest at your next party
