^^Apparently they have nothing better to do than to worry about tomatoes every day. What they should be worrying about is people putting them on their ignore list for being stupid idiots.

I'm back in town for the foreseeable future. I've been in NCal since March for work. If anybody wants to do a meetup, DM me.

I've been looking for alternatives to my nightly walks, and I found one: Walking along the Wash, from my house, and walking through the Miracle Mile Mobile Home Park, bordering Boulder Highway.

Now if that isn't an interesting, quaint community!!!! I'm guessing this park was one of the first parks in the city, with some of the oldest mobile homes you'll ever set your eyes on, yes, those original mobile homes that were only 10-12 feet wide, and 30+ feet long. Of course, many have done additions of some kind.

I think this whole park should be put on the National Historic Register, as homes 50 years and over, qualify for that, and I'm guessing some of these mobile homes date back to the 50's.

Lots of Mexicans, with kids, crowding into these homes, but there's white owners as well. I talked to one older woman, sitting on a porch, just to ask her how much the lot rent was, and given she had one of the older doubles, she said she pays $480 + water. Yes, you will even see a double, here and there.

So glad I discovered this area so close to my home as an alternative to walking around my townhouse complex, or the adjacent middle class neighborhoods. Next time I'll take some cash along and have a beer at the 4 Mile Bar at the entrance to the park, a bar which has been around since the 50's.

Despite the heat and brutal sun in my west facing garage, I got my car pretty much done. Yes, I know there's no hood or fenders. Those take 5 minutes to put on. No point in putting them on now if I needed to fix things.

Are you referring to your Cressida? And how have you been navigating after losing your Infiniti?

I had a new radiator put into my '85 Toyota Supra ($500), 3 weeks ago, and it was leaking like a sieve, couldn't understand why that would happen with a new radiator.

Took it back to Dolar's Mon. morning, called them yesterday morning, found out the radiator was defective, so they replaced it.

So, tomorrow morning, I'll take the bus up to Tropicana to retrieve it.

Oddly enough, I love looking out into my garage with no vehicle there but my 3 bikes, and navigating by bike, to the bar last night and to Jack in the Box for burgers. Two of my bikes have flat tires, so tonite I'll change the tire on one of them! Bikes can be as frustrating as cars, at times.
