You all sound so wonderful, it is really hard to read the posts from the negative people. I am planning on visiting in the spring & seriously hope to make Las Vegas my home. But, if it can't happen, (col), then I'll make it a vacation spot to get out of the cold.

Don't put this town on some sort of pedestal. We have our positives, but they come equipped with equally powered negatives. If you discount the negatives, you are going to set yourself up for disappointment unless you have a lot of money and/or are very good looking ( and that doesn't always help )
This is a city with a heartbeat. It is unique. No place in the world is like Las Vegas. But it will eat you, given the chance.
You gotta be a badass to survive in the desert. If anything Scoop has to say disturbs you, honey, you need to look at Reno, instead. This is a hard ass town. Not a crime ridden crap hole like some cities, but a hard ass town.
