Well, even with Physician Assisted Suicide he didn't qualify. You need to be ordained by 2-3 Dr.'s that you only have 6 months to live. People like the patient mentioned could "live on" for another 5-10-15-20 years in that condition. And what of the quadriplegics who are dependant on someone even giving them a sip of water. Again, they don't qualify.

If you have the $$ you could fly over to Dignitas in Switzerland, the most liberal suicide clinic in the world, where you need not have 6 months to live. Over there, you can merely tell them you've been depressed most of your life and wish to end it. Cost, last time I checked, because I was even considering going over there 3 years ago: $5850 and a one-way air ticket.

Use a gun and save yourself the $$! Huh! Over the 17 years I worked there there were 3 who came into the facility who had botched the operation. All it would take is a Good Samaritan, nearby, calling for an ambulance, and there you are in a LTC facility hooked up to tubes.
Good thing I did not know about dignitas a few years ago. 5850 is a bargain.

Yep, straight cash, homie!

I wonder what cocktail they use, I'm assuming high doses of Valium and whatever else. Versed? Propofol?

Michael Jackson juice?
Prince juice?

I was talking with a rideshare driver last night. I've known the whole time that they do stings and try to get people to do cash rides so they can bust them. I saw one guy get busted, but I drove off afterwards. I've had several people come up and ask for cash rides. I always decline. Once at Mandalay bay a guy walks up and says his phone was dead and he needed to get to the airport.
I handed him my charging card and said "Here, you can charge up your phone and request a ride."
He walked off. A couple minutes later I saw him texting.

Anyway, back to the driver. They impounded his car. He has to pay 600 for the paper to get it released. 340 a day storage fees for the car. And can pay up to 20,000 in fines. He might get deactivated as well. All over 20 bucks.

There was a 25YO soccer player in England who was injured in the field, was left a paraplegic. Being active most of his life he couldn't fathom not being active anymore, so his sympatico parents flew him to Switzerland to end his life. I applaud Switzerland for their Dignitas Suicide clinic. They should have them all over the world!

According to the official Dignitas website, as of 2017 Dignitas charges its patients 7'000 Swiss Francs (approx. £5'180 / $7'980) for preparation and suicide assistance.
