Take care, and I think it's absolutely wonderful that you're helping your roommate to...survive. Keep up the good work!

Thanks everyone. Current goal is weight loss. Started at 200, got down to 150, let myself go and now back at 170. 167 today, so 17 to go.

Is there a lot of smoke drifting into the LV Valley from the CA fires?

The big one in North CA is way the heck north of LV. Might get a little from the Southern CA one but so far the local weather has been very high visibility with no signs of smoke.

It's unlikely. One of the major causes of the conditions favorable to the fires is the Santa Ana winds. They flow from inland out towards the ocean. There was minimal blowback even in CA. That's for the Wollsey fire. As someone above mentioned the Camp fire was way north.

Visiting friends in Laguna Niguel. It is certainly a great place to celebrate!

They took us to a beach Tuesday night and we had a fire at ocean's edge in a fire pit. One of them had never done hot dogs and marshmallows over a fire. It was interesting to watch him trying to figure out when the dog was done.

Everyone enjoy and be thankful. We all have a lot to be thankful for.
