FYI I am quite a happy person...I don't have an overall negative attitude about much of anything Vegas included. I was just reporting MY experiences here. There ARE many good honest hard working people in Las Vegas its just a shame that one must dig thru SO MUCH TRASH to find them. Had the OP asked for positives on Vegas I would have listed what I believe to be some strong points of the city.

Thank you for your opinion. I think I will go grab my rose colored glasses and pretend our world is a perfect place...better yet start consuming high quanities of pain killers on a daily basis and live in a state of absolute bliss because nothing is ever wrong when you don't know what is going on.

Don't worry...be happy!!!!!!!!

...............right on, maybe we should start a thread that reads "Vegas through the eyes of a Prozac patient."

Nobody's on Prozac Juanes. And insulting the residents of Las Vegas is not really something you want to do on these Las Vegas forums, is it? Will THAT make you feel better?

Us happy and successful people are telling it like it is, just as you think you are.

Difference is that us pro-Las Vegas folk are successful and get to live in and enjoy the city of Las Vegas.

No one looks through rose colored glasses, we tell it as we live it. Two sides of the coin. But what you negative folk leave out is the cirumstances through which got you into the fine mess you're in.

If some of the debby downers on here would post the truths about their unhappiness, then THAT would be the clearer, honest and more concise opinion that you have. That I could understand. Then posters would be able to weigh in your negative opinions vs. our positive ones.

Too many hate Las Vegas because they lost all their money in casinos, bought homes they couldn't afford, didn't have a good source of income to begin with, couldn't find a date, mate left them, etc..

If any of you would include those little truth-isms when you post of your negative experiences here in Las Vegas, then others will get the clear picture of why your experiences here in Las Vegas are, in fact, so negative.

The gate on I-15 swings both ways, so don't let it hit you on the way out.

At least it will be better than your constant negative attitude.
Who the hell needs pain killers to go about their day? How about some fresh squeezed juice every morning. Sure beats chemicals.

I can't totally agree with that statement as I know quite a few people (myself included) who function on a normal level, achieved a great deal of success here, and simply decided that there are more things to see, places to go, and people to meet out in the world. Vegas has much to offer people who embrace the lifestyle...but for those who don't one must really get quite creative to keep life interesting or move on.

That is an absolutely true statement.

OMG! I REALLY live here.
I have been here for 13 years. Lived in The Lakes area first, and now Aliante for the past 6 years. Never had a problem with crime in the apt complex we lived in at The Lakes. The only problem we've had in the 6 years of living in Aliante, was around november of 2008 some KIDS decided it would be fun to try and break in. But with all the reinforced locks on the door, they couldn't kick the door in. We like to think they broke their foot trying.
Since then, no problems. Now have camera's installed, plus more reinforced locks, steel, etc.
The security guard said it was teenagers looking for an easy smash and grab. The cops admitted it was going on all over the place, not just Las Vegas. It is a nationwide problem. Unsupervised kids with time on their hands, trying to impress their friends.

The only time we had a credit card compromised once was ordering something online. Never here in Las Vegas.

Maybe you just had bad luck with neighbors. That can also happen. Probably the same people targeting you over and over. Sorry to hear your experience sucked here, but please do not assume that everyone has these problems regularly because not everyone does. And because I like to see every day start as a beautiful day does not make me some wacko like you seem to think. I think the people that go around with their little dark rain cloud above their heads are the wackos, but that's just my opinion.

By the way, it's my birthday, so I will now go have some fun and get the heck off this forum for a few hours.
Have a nice day anyway.
