(loooove how you think you know where I work. It's really far and the LIRR doesn't make it any easier.)
and don't give me crap about "why don't u move to nyc?" I'm not renting, it's retarted, I own and own only and owning in the city is not possible. I thought about moving to westchester or CT...it's in the beginning stages...b/c i can't deal with the lirr sh*t anymore.
You'll still have to take (and pay the inflated prices for) Metro North, which is the MTA twin of the LIRR, so what's the difference?
Annnd what I absolutely love is how they blast the a/c!! It is FREEZING! I asked the conductor politely today if he could please lower the air and he told me he couldn't b/c no one else on the train wanted it lower. Come on, I doubt he asked anyone/everyone on board b/c I know for a fact many many people complain about the temperature of the cars. Is it really necessary? I could bring something to wear, yes, but for the price I pay I shouldn't have to. They should be more accomodating to their customers.

Well I would be one of those customers that would blatantly object lowering the AC. First off I find that typically the cars are too warm as it is. Especially when it's crowded. And it's not like their AC is thermostatically controlled. Most likely it's a switch, on or off. Leave it on. And if you are one of those people that gets cold easilly, bring a sweater.

Yes but again, i shouldn't have to. They should have alternating cars...one with high air, the other with low...and alternate cars. They do not accomodate me. It isn't fair for me to suffer...even with a sweatshirt.

Well there is a thermostat, but its not that adjustable. Its set at 72, year round. The newer cars can be adjusted +2 or -2, but thats about it.
