You can check your school district's Adult Education programs, sometimes they have golf lessons.. or the Town summer recreational programs are a good place to look also.
Unless someone is an official golf pro they aren't allowed to give lessons on public or private courses as far as I know. My husband has given a few sneaky lessons at the driving range for friends, or while out playing golf with his buddies. But you have to be careful or they'll kick you off the course!
Sometimes the golf stores have "lessons" on a big screen where you can be videotaped etc to improve your swing.
