Can anyone recommend a good area to buy a condo in the $250K-$300K area that has a reasonable commute to the NYC. I am looking for a 2 bedroom.

There are lots of co-ops & condos in Great Neck close to the LIRR.

Look at the Cherry Valley Apartments in Garden City (directly across from Mineola train Station). You can get a 2 bedroom in 250 range with onsite parking.

I thought of those too, but they are coops, not condos. There is also the Birchwood complex in Mineola but again they are coops.
