What do you propose to alleviate this problem. What would you cut out?
Your question is why not one politician will discuss spending cuts. Taking funding away makes someone, group or association upset. It involves all the hot topics of defense spending, immigration, health care, social security, homeland security.....on and on and on. Pick any area to cut, a politician would get cut to pieces by opponents. The government and most of american society lives above its means.
The tougher decision is typically the right one. But America just kicks the financial can down the road.
If you want to discuss that this tax bill increases the deficit, I'm with you. But then you must discuss the entire deficit. You must include the other 90% of the deficit that already exists. Unfortunately, neither party has said boo about spending. We do not have a tax problem, we have a huge spending problem.
We also have a tax problem, I understand the need for a tax reduction back in 2001 and also when they were extended in 2010 but 2003 was a huge mistake. Say what you will but we are not making this deficit go away with spending cuts alone. This reform is another huge mistake, politicians never want to give out bad news, Nassau and Suffolk are perfect examples.

Politicians?
They're at the root of the problem. If a household can't balance their budget, they don't reduce their income, they boost it and reduce their spending. Find me a politician who's honest enough to insist on a similar approach at any level of government.
There is no need for tax reform if it only benefits rich people. Is that clear enough? This doesn’t help middle class families at all, why pass legislation to benefit only the rich? Get it? I’m not asking for more for myself. Do you understand?
First off, you would need to define "rich." When politicians talk about taxes, that word is tossed around quite a bit. It's actual definition seems to change depending on the circumstances.
Since the "rich" pay far more taxes than the "poor," any tax reform SHOULD benefit them more than any other group. If you cut the "poor" tax bill by 5% and cut the "rich" tax bill by 1%, the "rich" would still probably have a greater tax cut in actual dollars paid than the "poor." It's that sort of mathematical semantics that politicians use to delude the public.
Finally, to claim that the current tax proposals benefit ONLY rich people is incorrect.
So I guess I don't understand what you are asking for. You claim to be rich, yet feel the government should be taking more of the money you earn (which you are free to do with or without any tax reform). So you seem to want a higher tax burden for those who already pay far more in taxes, but want to lower taxes for those that pay little or no taxes.
You are certainly entitled to your opinion on the matter. I am of the opinion that taxes are too many and too high. I also believe there should not be a penalty for success, nor should we be demonizing successful people. Let's just agree to disagree.

Where do I claim to be rich??
This bill is a big stinky POS and the fact nobody can defend it besides saying “f the less fortunate” speaks volumes. The overwhelming majority can agree to that.
