If so I’m pretty sure most of you will tell me about Suffolk County. But please share with me? I know the Long Island suburbs is mostly old housing but any new plots of land being developed on as we speak?

When you say cheap like down south do you mean a brand new 3-3500 sq ft home for $250k? If so, keep dreaming.

haha - good one. I especially love the twist at the end where on top of "big home" and "cheap sticker price" you're looking for new construction. Didn't see that one coming!

Unicorns tilting windmills. Then again, "big" and "cheap" are subjective. I'm pretty big and pretty cheap. Maybe 1,200 SF and $900k with $18k taxes is big and cheap to some people.

cheap is a relative term. I consider 725k for new construction cheap, you may not.

Most of Long Island is built up. Available land isn't cheap, unless it is in an area which has issues. Even then, cheap is a relative term.

I’m not looking to buy a house actually!

Was looking online and saw some good numbers that were pretty much very very far and new construction but I’m not familiar with most of Li!

You are right. I consider anything under 400K cheap. I just saw a listing for a 6 bedroom 3 bath house in Mastic NY for 370K. But it’s very very far!

You can barely buy a dilapidated home for under 400k. Any decent neighborhood in Nassau 400k is a tear down.

And that's pretty much what new construction is going for in my corner of the south.

Which - yes - is insane. But still better than LI, I suppose.
