Seems legit.

This whole ordeal highlights the issue with unions. How can a subject teacher who could actually be doing a lot of work be ok with a peer gym teacher who's doing nothing, yet being paid the same? WhereTF in this universe does that make sense? How is the subject teacher ok with this?

Only great when it benefits you, not so when it doesn't... unridiculievable.

Should there be a 2020/2021 part time schedule with a lot of remote learning you have to believe that many teaching non-core subjects will be the ones to be excessed. Or does it only go by seniority and not subject expertise?

Simple, when you are in the club, you are in it together. They could have been Gym teachers too.

RE: Just vote no!

Well looks like the next school budget vote will be done totally by mail ballots. I have a feeling school boards & teachers are not too happy about a big "turnout" . Remember when all the school districts had different vote days? They same characters were none too happy when the state mandated one date for all districts because it reduced confusion and increased turnout.

Mail in ballots will be excellent. I wonder how many budgets will now be redrawn to be more conservative with spending expecting a bigger turnout.

No free ice cream nights, or school plays, or presentations to draw them in. They should simply assume they will all be voted down this time.
