Along with Covid and the other bs that’s going on in the city. Interest rates are also helping fuel the RE fire out here. 30 year rates are in the low-mid 2’s now!
I'm a transplant, but I don't see why Westchester shouldn't be considered "Downstate" together with NYC + LI. AFAIK, Pelham-to-GCT takes less time on MNR than Amityville/CSH-to-Penn on the LIRR.
Sorry but West Chester is def down state. It’s even south of 84 and that is just starting to barely get into “upstate”.
If you’re saying WC is upstate just because it’s due north of LI and the city then that’s wrong too. Lol. Ask anyone from real upstate NY and they will tell you WC is downstate.
Haha! No, the people from upstate will fight you! They want no association with downstate and flatlanders. It's actually insulting to some.
I went to college upstate you don’t need to tell me. Hearing Ugh another Long Islander started my long slow slide into wanting to get off the Island. But my best friend was from Westchester. Look out if you told her she was from upstate!
Everything south of Alexandria Bay NY is downstate LOL!
