I want to take someone for lobster- ambiance matters little; since the Yankee Clipper closed many moons ago, it’s always a search… Last time, I went to the Lobster Shack in Seaford, but they have since closed.
I’m looking for a place that has a selection of sizes- 1 1/4 lb. does nothing for me.
Anywhere near East Meadow would be ideal, but I figure Freeport might yield more results. As I said, ambiance is not critical- I’m taking my 91 year old father- he loves lobster but not a fan of pretense.
Thanks for any input.

Have a few shipped in from Maine! Trust me! It will be CHEAPER too
There are plenty of restaurants in Freeport that serve Lobster on the Nautical mile. You can try two cousins fish market and have them steam up a couple of lobsters and you can enjoy it at home.
Jordan’s is ok but not anything crazy.
I suggest helping around.
Restaurant t in cold spring harbor is out go to spot in summer. Harbor Mist. Yelp it.
Also our favorite lobster roll in summer with outside seating is Clam bar in Bayville, nice view too.
I finally came to a conclusion that one lobster roll is just never enough so I skip the stupid fries all together and just order two lobster rolls . Wife is fine with one.
I wish there was a spot where fresh seafood arrives and the restaurant just serves the fish from the fresh catch of the day.
