cbnu -- what day do you plan to drive out to Montauk? Traffic gets really bad heading out to eastern LI on Fridays. In fact, the wealthy city people take helicopters to avoid it. If possible, try and make your trip out on Thursday.

Out at Montauk you might want to have lunch at Gosman's
Gosman's Dock - Montauk, NY - Restaurant, Inlet Cafe, Clam Bar, Topside, Fish Market, Stores
or for a quick bite stop at the Lobster Roll "Lunch" in Amagansett

@OhBeeHave, Last year, I had a bad experience of traffic in downtown Los Angles (3 hours sitting (not running) on the high way). That why I do not want to visit LA again.
