pretty well known of this major b/c of the environment there.
budget cuts.
better name for this degree?

CPP:
less expensive.
5 hours away from me.
not diverse.
small classes to learn better.
better weather?
one of the first college to have this major.
not having much budget cuts.
idk about the name.

what else?
1. Define "not diverse" ... Cal Poly Pomona is within Los Angeles County and is extremely diverse.
2. All of the Cal State campuses are dealing with budget cuts including the two Cal Poly campuses (Pomona and San Luis Obispo)

I attend Cal Poly Pomona for another major and I always hear greats things about the Hospitality program. We've got a hotel and restaurant on campus.

I've known people from Northern Calif. coming down here for the program and other programs too. Cal Poly Pomona is definitely diverse and not immune to budget cuts like the rest of entire Cal State University system. In fact, there is more budget cuts set up by the Calif. Governor next school year sadly. $500 Mil has been proposed.

If you're curious about the city of Pomona, there isn't much to do...well at least to me anyway. Pomona has two sections: the ghetto and the nice area. Fortunately, Cal Poly Pomona is located in the nice area. I commute to school so I never bother stay on campus to explore the town. I've only eaten at a Japanese restaurant in Pomona on one Saturday night and I would say the street life was dead. There was not much people walking, but this doesn't confirm the rest of the town is super dead since I haven't been to other areas. There are tons of restaurants in the next town over at Walnut, which is a wealthy town.

On the better note, there are new apartments on campus and they are nice place to hang out to feel the lovely SoCal weather.
