I don't know if I woke up from a major shake or jolt. I know I did wake up from something, but I can't even confirm it had anything to do with the earthquake. It might have but I don't even know what time it was.

It sounded almost like my neighbor in the apartment next door or someone on the roof was roller skating with bags of marbles shaking attached to their legs. Thats kind of a weird description, again it may been the result of shaking from the earthquake but I woke up from the sound of stuff moving around perhaps rather than the quake itself.

Woke us up here in El Segundo. 4 miles from epicenter. Mostly the sound. Didn't really register that much movement. Only seemed to last 4-5 seconds.

If you have to ask "Was that an Earthquake?!", it's probably not worth mentioning.

You people need to take some melatonin and get some sleep. If it knocks you out of bed onto the floor, THAT'S and earthquake.

LOL neither did me, my wife or my dog (well, at least my dog didn't bark, I have no way of asking her).

My buddy in North Hollywood on 2nd floor says he was awoken by the bed shaking, he thought to himself that it was an earthquake then fell back asleep. He says shaking was up and down but there was no one else in the bed
