Where is this coming from? What a weird observation about a place as small as Santa Monica.

the fascination with white people or being white is beyond ridiculous, especially in the third world. In India, they have fair and lovely white lightening cream. In Africa, some black people avoid the sun from what I've heard. In Latin America, if you're white or lighter skinned you get to the front of the line in most top posts.

I guess the only place where being white doesn't matter is the Middle East? Then again I hear in Israel that Ashkenazi Jews get more attention and praise then Sephardic, Yemeni and non-white Jews.
This^^^^ as a brotha, I hate it when black chicks be wearing contacts. I had a girlfriend that did this (she still does, I see from facebook) and it was because she was just really insecure. Plus, I think it's the Eurocentric influences. It's sad.

This post is ludicrous. First off, who really cares? In the last half decade or so I haven't met a guy who has bleached/dyed their hair blonde beyond the age of 18, that was a huge trend in the late 90's/early 2000's. I haven't seen blonde highlights on guys since then either.

Search his other posts, he has pages and page of posts about hair color, skin color, and other weird appearance issues.

Clearly some odd obsession.

The tanning business says "yes".

Light people wanting to be dark, dark people wanting to be light. Just can't be yourself, ya know?

When white people get a tan it's because they like the healthy outdoors look not because they want to look ethnic. People of ethnic backgrounds want to look "white" because of how whiteness represents a certain social class. It represents someone who doesn't toil out in the sun. It represents the WASP establishment and how they feel closer to it.

Again, you're like a quarter right, but mostly wrong. Less about social class, more about social construct.
