I'm wondering if anybody has any tips for parking near Long Beach Airport. The LGB parking is $17 a day, and I would prefer something cheaper. Any ideas?

You did not read this here. Find a quiet street in Lakewood, park, strap on a ruck, walk to the airport. I think Lakewood's "move it" rule is 72 hours. You could probably squeak by.

No street sweeping there in Lakewood? Is it $17/day now for the outside parking?!! Maybe the OP could leave the car at home and use Uber?

Uber may be pretty cheap.

Now, my variant of this was, leave it on a street where my friend lived, then take RTD to LAX. The friend would repark daily and avoid street sweeping fines (and I'm not sure if Lakewood even has that, I think it is more in the suburban mentality of the sweepers simply going around parked cars). In any case, this variant while not as cheap as walking was danged cheap.

I thought about Lyft (we don't have Uber in Riverside), but the cost is $78. That's pretty pricey. I don't know many people in the LGB area or else I could just park there.

Part of the cost of your trip, For now, just park at LGB and at least you know you won't be fined or have your car towed with the extra costs.

Honestly, that's how I'm going to end up handling it. $17/day is much better than whatever some tow truck company will charge after they tow away my car.
