Various government agencies, both state and federal, are complicit with this situation. This is not helping since people become aware of it and see the fraud for what it is. Better to face the truth and work on improving the situation.
Claims of "under-reporting" always amuse me. Please tell us how, if anything is "under-reported" you know that. What are your secret sources that reveal under-reporting?

Yes. Why? Why wouldn't they cover a "jumper"? (I know why.)

Whatever you said was not the reason....

I believe it had to do with it being a rival station or something...

Stop and think it through. Can you understand the difference between notifying the public of a danger on the freeway and related traffic tie-up affecting public safety - and notifying the public of the spectacle of an emotionally distraught person on a tower who authorities are trying to de-escalate?

Think.

Racial information was once routinely included in news stories about crimes, but in recent decades, newspapers and other media outlets stopped mentioning suspects' or victims' race or ethnicity because of public criticism. Newspapers came to embrace the idea that such information is irrelevant to the reporting of crimes, and may unfairly stigmatize racial groups.

I give one small valid example and it's discredited . I know it hurts tullenut but your not right this time. Have you ever heard if it bleeds it leads? Reporters know that people like to see car chases and jumpers. This was all about fierce competition between stations. Geez you people are frustrating
