They're just with those guys because they'd rather settle than be alone.

Nobody who lives in California, says "Cali". And for what it's worth, nobody in CA says, "The OC"...those 2 terms are dead giveaways that you aren't a native.

Well, I guess I'm wrong. In my entire life no one I know -family or friends, have ever said that word unless being ironic, imitating someone who is on vacation or a transplant.

Well now I've learned something and I thank you. But did you know what the OP meant when she said Cali??? ....... Exactly that was my point mate.

This thread is a doing a great job at representing how skewed the nation's outlook on "Cali" really is.

There are a lot of normal people here. Women included.
No one here says "Cali" unless they're visiting from out of state. And even then no one really minds.
Most everyone's perceptions of the city are drastically altered once they actually visit LA.

I lived in LA from seven of the best years of my life. If you spend your time hanging out in bars, you will probably have a different experience.

As I have been visiting LA regularly since 2004, I can attest to this. I'm not a 10 by far, but I'm not a dog either. For the first time in my life, I was approached by decent looking men in LA (Venice Beach) and I think I was approached because I looked like a regular American woman without all the flair and silliness. I wasn't intimidating to approach, and I love that. So all the 9-10 girls, have fun, I'm happy being a 7-ish, size 6, short woman from Michigan. I will find a guy when I move out there, and I know I'll get a lucky catch.

It's all perspective.

It's more like the other way around. In the Hollywood radius area where the most singles are in LA. There are far more single men than single women.
