I'd be very nervous being a car driver with these maniacs on the road. You can see one of them pass a cop car stopped at a red light watch them and do nothing.

..it's actually not a bad video though for people like me who enjoys to see street grid and vibrant neighborhoods. Had some skyline angles and skidrow moments. I saw Koreatown there aswell.

As someone who gets road rage too easily, I would flip out if I saw them riding within a foot of my car or riding past on the wrong side of the street. what is cool about a bunch of adults doing wheelies anyways?

I don't think it's cool but what the video captured in the background was some pretty good urban photography work even if it wasn't intended.

If this video was filmed in your basic suburb then i'd have zero interest in watching or sharing it on City Data. But since it takes place in DTLA it is relative.

They are daredevils, I don't think it should be legal to ride like that on public streets. It's a public safety issue.
If they want to do that on a closed course it's one thing.
If their fixie bike slams into a car at no fault of the car driver, the blame will still be put on the car driver.
It's a liability to drive around people like this.
I'm sure it's a fun thing for them , but some people also think taking hard drugs is fun too..it's not safe and sometimes kills.

What they can do on their bikes is pretty cool but to ride on the streets like that where there are blocking traffic or inches away from getting into an accident is not cool and a general safety issue.

I was once driving on Los Feliz Blvd. and you had one of these late night biking groups just owning the road taking their sweet time blocking traffic, going through red lights, and then one guy out of nowhere was riding in the opposite direction between the median and my car, where there was no more than two feet on either side of him. Absolute maniacs!

Biking is a great activity, but to have total disregard for street rules and regulations where driver and biker safety is compromised is unacceptable.

Bikes have to follow the same laws as cars. So running reds and stop signs and riding on the wrong side of the road are illegal. As a cyclist that stuff pisses me off too because it gives all cyclists a bad name

It's illegal I'm sure. But I toast the young rebels and long for a carefree adolescence now slowly slipping away as I drift deeper into a depressing adulthood... I'm 10 years away from shaking my fist at them and possibly 30 years away from shaking a cane and telling them to get off my lawn..

It's hard to not like it though. The day I feel mad at these kids is the day I stop and think "damn I'm old "..
