Don't let them roll too far. I am disgusted by them as much as anyone else, but it doesn't mean my reasoning skills end at my disgust.

You could always move back home! Please

cute post. cops in LA have better things to do than deal w/homeless. only the bored, overly invasive beverly hills cops do that.

Why would you assume ? It's pretty easy to search Redfin or trulia to see prices . You didn't check housing prices before moving ?

Also you can buy studios and 1 bedrooms for less than 400k but not in the " nicest" or hippest areas .
Some people care more about owning than living in a hip area .

If you own long term then mortgage payment can start to look cheap versus rent .

Lots of buildings in LA are old and the owners bought them much cheaper than market value .
For a while during the crash it was cheaper to buy versus rent , especially in some areas .

During the crash lots of people could of bought at relatively good prices but they chose not to.
I'm sure a lot are kicking themselves now as prices have doubled or more in some areas , within about 6 years or less .

I think I've come to the conclusion that I will, unless I end up making over 1 million dollars this year.
