With the Internet killin so many shopping malls which malls in the LA area may not survive?

My predictions are the Westside Pavillion and Northridge Fashon Center and maybe the Ventura, california indoor mall.

I predict that the westfield topanga, westfield century city and Glendale galleria will survive.

I don't think the Westside Pavilion will even last five years. I'd also expect the Beverly Center to close within that time period.

No one goes to the Beverly Center or Westside pavilion malls anymore.

Century City and the Grove wiped both of them out.

Westside Pavilion also got hurt by Santa Monica.

Another struggling mall that may close is the indoor Burbank Town Center.

The Beverly Center will not close in a long time. Especially since it's going through a half a $billion dollar renovation as we speak.

Agreed. Also, Eagle Rock Plaza will be interesting after the anchors are gone. Maybe it still has enough interest from Filipinos to limp on in some form of ethnic shop collection, but most malls don't last long without anchors. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets redeveloped.

Dammit, I just discovered the Northridge mall earlier this year and I like it.

Westside Pavillion really needs to fix their abhorrent parking. Almost all the driveways will cause your valance to get scraped if you drive a sportscar and I really hate those ridiculous speed bumps just before the mechanical arms -- good luck not stalling if you drive manual and you're trying to creep over them.

When I visit my parents in LA I like visiting the northridge mall. I hope the northridge mall stays around.
